We are proud to announce that as part of a collaborative project with Rotala/Diamond NW, we have recently launched a new bus service from Bolton Interchange to Rivington Country Park. With funding and support from Community Rail Network, CrossCountry Trains and Horwich Town Council, the service will now run every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until October 2021. Wigan North Western Mural Project
Update: New dates for the Artists’ Brief applications is midnight on Sunday 16th May 2021.
Avanti West Coast working with South East Lancashire Community Rail Partnership (SELCRP) are commissioning a new large‐scale mural for the underpass beneath the platforms at Wigan North Western Station. This is a busy thoroughfare with a high daily footfall.

Bolton Station Community Partnership is delighted to announce the publication of its first poetry book – The Platform Anthology.
The competition was funded by Transport for Greater Manchester which has supported numerous Bolton station community projects over the last two years. Rail Officer Mark Angelucci said “TfGM is happy to support Bolton Station Community Partnership and its marvellous work involving the local community. We wish to thank all of the contributors for their efforts and look forward to seeing the winning works on display, where they can both inspire passengers and brighten up the platform approaches.”

Four Bolton-based poets will have their work displayed on the pillars of Bolton Railway Station in full view of the many thousands of daily passengers.
Emma Byron, Sally James, Ibby Ismail and John Keane will also have their poems included in a special anthology together with many others who entered the Bolton Station Community Partnership competition. The competition was judged by members of the Partnership, the University of Bolton and Live from Worktown.
